Male Choir

The Male Choir has a long history of singing hymns and other gospel music at Cedar Landing Missionary Baptist Church. The Choir was organized in the 1950’s under the leadership of Professor W. S. Bell and has been rendering music for more than sixty years at this church and surrounding churches. The choir was even invited to sing at the local radio station in their early years. Over the years, the choir has experienced a few others musicians: Brother Thomas Jenkins, Sister Edith Outerbridge, and Brother Edward Brown, who is serving presently.

 

Some of the early members were: Brother Lewis Speller, Brother Lewis Brown, Deacon James Miller, Brother Lincoln Bond, Brother Dempsey Bond, Reverend Eugene Watson and Brother Andrew Speller.

 

Presently, there are sixteen members; Brother Charlie Stewart: President, Deacon Rudolph Williams: Vice Present/treasurer and Brother Booker T. Bond: Secretary. The Male choir is an inspiration to the church.
