In 1986, Pastor Barnes came to Cedar Landing as a young, God-fearing preacher with a vision for the church to become devoted followers of Christ. He has faithfully carried out his duties as our under shepherd for the past 30 years.
Throughout this time, Leading Lady Mary Barnes has served patiently by his side in the arduous roles of pastor’s wife and Leading Lady.

Sister Barnes has served the church in various capacities including Administrator with the Christian Education Ministry, Choir member, Choir Director and Librarian. She is a prayer warrior and assists the church and ministries as necessary. Their daughters, Jessica and Melanie, grew up working in the church and we have witnessed their transformation from babies to successful young ladies today.
Granddaughter Chloe’ is the newest family member and she has already begun making her little voice heard at the church.
We praise God for our First Family and we are blessed to have them as members of the Cedar Landing Church body of Christ. We celebrate the past with you and look forward to what God has for our future together here at Cedar Landing Missionary Baptist Church.
